Paul Casey
Paul Casey, Principal

Paul started his architectural training in his high school's vocational drafting program, proceeded directly to college vocational training and then obtained his professional architectural degrees. Because of his early vocational training, he was able to work in architectural offices while enrolled in college and accrue enough professional experience while in school to qualify for architectural licensing exams immediately after graduating. He obtained his first state architectural license in 1981. Paul's early career experience was with international projects in Africa and south Asia where he spent almost three years assisting in design, construction documentation, and construction administration services for USAID's development of the National Agricultural Research Center in Islamabad, Pakistan. Paul moved his family to Tacoma in 1984, worked three years for a local architectural firm and went into business with Mark Anderson, Structural Engineer, in 1987. From that original partnership, ACP Consultants, a Washington Corporation formed in 1991 that now employs about 25 people in two offices. Paul has focused his architectural practice to the design of new housing and light commercial developments, building renovation, and forensic evaluation of existing buildings. He has designed several hundred buildings located through out the Puget Sound region, Oregon, and Hawaii.

Jerry Litwin
Jerry Litwin, Associate, Senior Project Manager

Jerry has always been interested in designing and building whether it was sand castles at the beach or Lego towns at home. His career started in Corpus Christi, Texas as a VISTA Volunteer assisting non-profit organizations with facility layouts and developing a non-ambulatory obstacle course for the handicapped children at the local state facility. He extended his stay another 13 years working for residential and commercial architectural firms. In 1988 a call from the Pacific Northwest had him returning to the region. For the past 12 years Jerry has been the lead for commercial architecture with the Casey Group Architects - designing, drafting and providing construction administration.

His insatiable quest for more knowledge led Jerry to joining the Construction Specifications Institute in 2000. He became active in the local chapter helping to develop good education classes and meeting programs. He improved the CDT class and started the CCCA class where he was able to share his 30 years of experience in construction administration and project management. As Programs Chair he has discovered and invited many interesting speakers to come and share their knowledge with the local construction community. Jerry is one of the first non-founding chapter members to be chapter president and is proud to have helped the chapter to become a vibrant, active organization in South Puget Sound.
